This is a school stressors iceberg. What causes a pupil to feel stressed at school? What causes them to not want to come to school. This resource may help to illustrate to them that there are lots of reasons that might be causing their anxiety around going to school.
Included in the school stressors iceberg is a poster and a worksheet. Go through the poster and discuss all the different stressors and then ask them to fill in their own.
If a potential issue can be identified it will be easier to help the pupil find a solution.
