This resource is included in The ELSA Games Bundle – Item 331 - take a look and see how much you could save when buying this bundle!
This truth or lie resource was requested from one of the members of our Facebook group.
This resource includes 64 cards designed to help children sort statements into what is true and what is false or a lie. To make the activity more engaging, there’s a game board that’s perfect for group work, along with several supporting worksheets. Check out the images for a closer look at what’s included.
Children may tell lies for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, they lie to avoid getting into trouble, to gain attention, or to feel accepted by their peers. In other cases, it may be linked to their imagination, as younger children may struggle to differentiate between reality and make-believe. Some children lie because they feel anxious, scared, or overwhelmed. Whatever the reason, it’s important to first teach them the difference between truth and lies before exploring the underlying causes and supporting them to develop honesty and trust.
