Calming Basket – What to put in it:
What can you put into a Calming basket? A calming basket has lots of things to help a pupil calm down and is a great strategy to help emotional regulation.
Some ideas recently discussed in the ELSA GROUP:
- Exercise books/paper with some coloured pencils for them to doodle with.
- Bubble wrap for popping
- Squidgy balls which you squish and squeeze
- Feathers for mindful breathing practice
- Pebbles or stones
