Self-Care Potion Activity – Item 520
Help pupils explore and celebrate self-care with this fun and creative potion activity. Pupils build their own “recipe for self-care” by filling a potion bottle with all the things that help them feel calm, happy, and cared for.
The activity is simple and engaging. Pupils choose from two different potion bottles and create a pocket to hold their potion droplets. They write or draw self-care ideas on each droplet, then slip them into the pocket. Over time, the bottle becomes a visual reminder of their personal self-care toolkit.
If a pupil isn’t keen on lots of writing, you can adapt the activity. Use the self-care list to prompt them, and go straight to filling in the droplets together. This makes the activity flexible and accessible for all ages and abilities.
Benefits for pupils:
- Encourages self-awareness and reflection on what makes them feel good
- Promotes emotional wellbeing and positive coping strategies
- Creates a tangible reminder of their own self-care plan
- Offers a calm, creative task that suits ELSA sessions, PSHE lessons, or nurture groups
What’s included in the pack:
- 2 different potion bottles
- Pocket label for the bottles
- List of self-care ideas for inspiration
- 3 recording sheets for brainstorming ideas
- 8 coloured potion droplets
- All resources in black and white for mindful colouring
This activity is suitable for almost any age group. Pupils will leave with a personal, visual reminder of how to look after themselves, perfect for display or to take home.
