Overview of the pupil talk time online form

The PDF need to be opened with ‘Adobe Reader’ which is standard on most computers. It can easily be installed if needed and is completely free. This PDF may work in other readers but these notes have been written based on Adobe Reader.

Text boxes

When you open your PDF with Adobe Reader, you will see blue boxes These are there to show you where you can type. Don’t worry these don’t show if you print your resource. Each text box has a font embedded so you can’t change the actual font. The text size is automatically adjusted depending on how much you write. So the more you write, the smaller the text will become. Be concise and only write what you need to. KEY POINTS ONLY. There are also some tick boxes. All you do with this is click the box and click it again to untick.

Organisation

It is important to set up a folder on your computer with sub folders for each pupil. You could use the initials of the pupil and date to organise your files.

To save the pupil talk time online file

Saving the file once filled in, all you need to do is click ‘FILE’ then ‘SAVE AS’ find your folder, sub folder and name your file.

To print your file

Print hard copies of your sheets and keep them in a folder if you wish.  Remember the blue boxes won’t show when printed out.

Printing your file is easy, click ‘FILE’ then ‘PRINT’, set the size of your paper to A4, check the box ‘fit to the printable area’, then print.

Over time you will have great evidence of work you do over and above your planned sessions.
