Express yourself Emotion Charades game
This is an express yourself emotion charades game. This links to the theme of ‘‘EXPRESS YOURSELF’ for Children’s Mental Health week in February.
This is a charades game with a difference. Lots of charades games on emotions are basically an emotion face or an emotion word and the child acts out that emotion. This is different in that it gives a scenario and the child must think of how they would feel in that situation. They then act out the emotion with facial expression and body language. The benefit of this game is that children may respond differently to different situations so one child might feel angry at someone laughing at them, another might feel sad and another might feel embarrassed and so on. Lots of discussion on how we all might feel differently in different situations.
There is a PDF version for printing and a PowerPoint version for using on a computer or for using remotely. The PowerPoint version is editable so you can change the scenarios if you wish.
