Emotions Early Years – Item 169
This is our Emotions Early Years Pack. Helping children understand their feelings is an important part of early development, and this resource offers a clear, supportive way to introduce feelings in an age-appropriate way.
At the centre of the pack is an engaging PowerPoint which introduces 20 different feelings, allowing you to explore one feeling at a time. This encourages meaningful discussion and helps children begin to link emotions to their own experiences.
The resource also includes a range of practical, printable activities to reinforce learning through play and interaction. These activities help children recognise, name and express their feelings in a safe and supportive way.
What’s included:
- PowerPoint introducing 20 different emotions
- Colouring sheets to explore and reinforce each feeling
- Emotion fans for identifying and sharing feelings
- Visual prompts to support discussion and understanding
This resource helps children to:
- Recognise a range of emotions
- Develop language to describe how they feel
- Build confidence in expressing emotions
- Begin to understand that all feelings are valid
Ideal for early years settings, this pack is also suitable for KS1 pupils who need additional support with emotional understanding. It works well for one-to-one sessions, small groups or whole class activities, making it a flexible and valuable addition to your provision.
