This is a back to school lapbook with some useful activities for helping some pupils back into school after the long break.
The back to school lapbook includes the following
- Name – pupil writes their name in a colourful way – they could write in bubble writing or decorate it anyway they wish. Why do they like their name? How did they get their name? Do they know of anyone they admire with the same name? Do they have a nickname? (Front cover)
- Picture- either take a photo of the pupil to stick here or ask them to draw themselves. (Front cover)
- Title– Discuss the title (Front cover)
- Exciting times -This pocket is about looking forward to the school year and all the exciting things that are going to happen.
- Bucket of goals – This pocket is all about setting goals for the new year.
- All about me – This is a little tab booklet for pupils to draw their picture and also write about things they like about school.
- Same and different – Pupils can look at all the things that are the same and all the things that are different in their new school year.
- Coping cup –This is about things they can do to cope if their feelings get too big.
- Jar of worries –This pocket is about worries at school. How can they cope? What can they do if they are feeling overwhelmed with worries?
- Back to school game– This is a simple game to discuss school and being at home.
