World Book Day 2023 is on the 2nd  March 2023

I love being able to combine emotional literacy within book ideas.

Book day ideas

• • Decorate a book cover all about you!
  • Tell a story using story stones
  • Pick a character and write down all their positive characteristics
  • Pick a character and write down all their negative characteristics
  • Pick out all the emotions in a book and make a list
  • Which Mr Men or Little Miss character are you?
  • Choose a character from a book and see if you can write down what they might be thinking
  • Make up a book character for each emotion – Mr sad, Mrs Happy etc
  • Make a comic strip of your perfect day
  • Make your own mini book about you
  • Find a book about friendship
  • Find a book about making a mistake
  • Make a bookmark for someone special
  • Which book character would you like to be ? Why?
  • Get cosy and share your favourite story with someone
  • Which story makes you feel the happiest? Why?
  • Which story makes you feel the saddest? Why?
  • Choose a favourite quote from a book and illustrate it
  • Choose a character from a book and monitor their mood right through the book
