This is our ‘Saying No Teen mini booklet’. As part of our Judicious July theme, this printable mini booklet helps children explore the power of saying no with calm confidence. Learning to say no is an essential part of using good judgement – it shows self-respect, sets healthy boundaries, and supports wise decision-making.
This foldable A4 booklet includes eight small pages of easy-to-read tips, with no writing required. Each page offers a child-friendly strategy for saying no in everyday situations – from peer pressure to personal space – and is paired with a simple visual prompt.
Perfect for teens but also for older children in KS2, For younger children we have this resource. This ‘Saying No Teen mini booklet resource encourages children to:
Think before they respond
Use calm, clear voices
Trust their instincts
Understand that “no” is a valid answer
Use it during PSHE, ELSA sessions, small group work, or pop it into wellbeing toolkits.
We include folding instructions in the pack but if you are struggling see the Youtube link to one of our other mini booklets.
Why this matters…
Children often feel pressure to say yes, even when they feel uncomfortable. Teaching them how to say no in a respectful and confident way builds resilience, assertiveness, and emotional safety. This mini booklet supports that learning in a simple, approachable format.
