This is a downloadable resource - once purchased, it will be available for you to download.

Our Worry Reflections activity helps children explore what worries mean, how they affect thoughts, feelings, and the body, and what strategies or support can help them feel calmer. It’s designed to be child-friendly, neuroaffirming, and gently structured to support wellbeing, emotional literacy, and self-awareness.

This resource focuses on understanding worries, noticing patterns, and building practical tools and connections to manage anxious thoughts safely.

What’s Included in the Worry Reflections pack?:

  • Main Worksheet
A creative, shape-based activity sheet covering 10 areas of worries and thoughts:
  • Worry – what is the worry?
  • When – when does the worry appear?
  • Quiet – what helps the worry calm down?
  • True – is this worry really true?
  • Thought – what does your worry say to you?
  • Body – how does the worry feel in your body?
  • Trigger – what makes the worry stronger?
  • Feel – how does the worry make you feel?
  • Plan – what can you do when a worry appears?
  • Support – who helps you when you worry?

Who is it for?
Perfect for year 2 and KS2 pupils in ELSA sessions, nurture groups, or 1:1 pastoral support. Especially helpful for children who experience anxiety, worries, or uncertainty, or who need extra support noticing and managing anxious thoughts.

Why it works:

  • Helps children recognise and name worries
  • Encourages reflection on body signals, thoughts, and feelings
  • Supports building practical calming strategies and help-seeking plans
  • Designed with a neuroaffirming, inclusive, and child-centred approach

Example learning objectives:

  • I can notice when a worry shows up.
  • I can describe how a worry affects my thoughts, body, and feelings.
  • I can name strategies or people that help me feel calmer.
  • I can make a simple plan for what to do when I feel worried.
"The Favourites game is a favourite of mine and the children at school. It’s a great ice breaker in the getting to know you session. They children love it as they get to find out about me too. It’s such a simple resource, but one I use at least once a week Lesley ELSA & Learning Mentor North London."
