The Food game – Item 111
The ELSA group discussions often result in a new resource. This one was inspired by someone who wanted ideas for a group of picky eaters at her school. I came up with this. This lady has got this game now free of charge. If someone inspires me then they get the resource for free. That is my way of paying back for giving me that inspiration and being so support of me and each other.
This game is perfect for parents too to use with their own children. Perhaps the child could get some form of reward for gaining 20 counters. The main thing is that it might encourage children to just try new foods.
The game is very simple. Choose a card, find the food on the circle board, name it and use the scale to decide how far you will go. Each dare results in counters. You will need a pack of counters for this game. The first person to get 20 counters is the winner.
