This is a Teen Overthinking Pupil Leaflet which explains overthinking and provides strategies to help manage it. This was created at the request of ELSAs to support pupils experiencing busy or anxious thoughts. Please do contact us if there is something you need. Although it was created for teens it could work for mature year 5 and 6.

Practical strategies to quiet a busy mind, including writing down thoughts, grounding exercises, breathing techniques, moving your body, and talking to someone you trust.
Changing the Pattern
Guidance on noticing, naming, and gently shifting overthinking, with reflective questions and reassurance that thoughts don’t have to control you.
Helpful Reminders
Encouragement, normalisation, and reassurance, including advice on when and how to seek support if thoughts feel too heavy or constant.

You can display your leaflets on the wall with our leaflet holder which is included in the pack. There is also a BLACK AND WHITE version of the leaflet included.
