Bring some winter fun into your emotional wellbeing sessions with our Snowman Brain Break Game, a playful, engaging way to help children refocus, reset and build confidence.

This collecting-style board game is designed for children aged 7–11 and is perfect for individual ELSA sessions and small groups. Pupils move around the board by rolling a die, landing on cheerful snowmen who each represent a different movement. When they land on a snowman, they collect the matching exercise card and place it on their collecting board. The aim is simple: be the first to collect all six cards, but every child continues until they complete their full set.

The focus on collecting rather than constant movement makes the game ideal for supporting turn-taking, patience, flexible thinking, and emotional regulation. Children practise managing the excitement of finding a new card, handling the disappointment of landing on one they already have, and keeping a positive mindset as they work towards their goal.

Once everyone has all six cards, the fun continues with a shared movement session. Pupils follow each exercise card and complete all six snowman moves together, a brilliant way to celebrate effort, boost energy levels, and finish with a sense of achievement.
