Sensations Bingo – Item 555

This is a sensations bingo to help pupils to describe body sensations linked to emotion.

There are 12 different sensations covered in the pack.

The sensations bingo consists of:

• 12 Bingo boards – all with the sensations in different positions
• calling cards – basic match
• Calling cards extension – name an emotion that would give you that sensation
• Calling cards extension – name a part of the body where you might have that sensation

You need a base board for each pupil. There are 12 included in the pack with the images mixed up so no two are identical. Each player needs a set of counters. The first person to get a row vertically or horizontally is the winner of the game. They need to shout out ‘SENSATIONS’ if they win.

There are three sets of calling cards. One set is a direct match so call out ‘Wobbly like jelly’ and the child covers that on their board.

The next set are about naming an emotion associated with ‘wobbly like jelly’, they name an emotion and then they can cover it up on their board.

The third set is about where in their body they might feel ‘wobbly like jelly’, they name the body part and then can cover it up on their board.

Repeat often so pupils get used to associating sensations to emotions and their bodies.

Print out two sets and cut out the cards for a snap game
