This is a downloadable resource - once purchased, it will be available for you to download.

This printable Morning Routine Visual Board is designed to support neurodivergent children with developing independence, clarity, and confidence at the start of each school day. Ideal for use at home or in a school-based intervention, the board provides a structured yet flexible way to plan and complete essential morning tasks in a calm, manageable way.

This Morning Routine visual board resource includes 24 visual routine cards featuring common morning tasks such as brushing teeth, getting dressed, packing a school bag, or remembering a PE kit. We have also included 24 blank cards for the child to write or draw on. Each day, the child can select up to six tasks that apply to their current routine. These are placed on the top row of the board marked “To Do.” As each task is completed, the child moves the card to the bottom row labelled “Done.” This visual and physical interaction helps to reduce overwhelm, provides a clear sense of progress, and supports self-esteem.

The board is designed to be reusable. Simply print and laminate the board and cards, then attach Velcro dots or Blu Tack to allow the cards to be moved each day. Spare cards can be stored nearby in a small envelope or pouch. This makes the resource easy to tailor to each morning’s needs, for example, remembering homework on a Monday, or including a PE reminder on specific days.

This visual routine board is especially helpful for children who benefit from structure, repetition, and visual cues. It promotes executive functioning skills such as planning, sequencing, and task completion, while also supporting emotional regulation through predictability and routine. Whether used daily or a few times per week, this tool encourages independence in a way that is gentle, encouraging, and neuroaffirming.

"Such a wide range of resources to choose from - always something that can be used for different ages and situations. I have used so many and return to them time and time again. They are all super, but my favourites are the actual programmes that run over several sessions - for example the Super Girl Group. So easy to follow, it provides great confidence to allow you to really engage with the group rather than worry about what to do next. Brilliant."
