Link it emotions Game – Item 742
Bring emotions learning to life with this fun, interactive Link it emotions group game!
Perfect for circle time, social skills sessions, or emotional literacy work.
There are 16 cards, so up to 16 children can play together. Each card shows an emotion word and picture, with the phrases:
“I have…” and “Who has…?”
All the cards are dealt out between the players, and the game begins when someone reads their card aloud —
for example:
“I have angry. Who has shy?”
The child with the shy card then continues the chain, and play carries on until everyone has had a turn and the circle is complete.
We have included an emotion tracking sheet so you can keep a track of the emotions children know and also a prompt sheets with questions to ask for each emotion.
This Link it emotions game helps children:
- Build emotional vocabulary
- Practise listening and turn-taking
- Recognise feelings in others
- Work together as a group
- Gain confidence speaking out loud
- Promotes teamwork and cooperation
A simple, engaging way to connect emotions and encourage confident communication.
