Gratitude Jar Challenge – Item 411

This is a gratitude jar challenge using a PowerPoint of the jar with different prompts and a workbook to go with it. This would be suitable for older children as well as younger children. You MUST have PowerPoint installed to enable you to use the animated gratitude jar, however I have also included a printable copy where you would laminate and cut out the covers and pop those over the prompts to make it interactive.

The PowerPoint could be shown on and IWB, Computer, Laptop or IPAD – for IPAD you would need to download the free PowerPoint App.

This PowerPoint is protected from editing to ensure it works correctly for you.  When you first go to open it you will be asked to input a password to edit or to click read only. Please click Read Only You do not need a password, that is purely for our benefit. Please read the instructions prior to opening the PowerPoint.

The jar has 21 prompts and each of those prompts can be recorded in their booklets. There are some extra sheets too in the booklet for recording gratitude.

Gratitude is a social emotion and is a way of showing appreciation or thanks for something. People who practise gratitude on a regular basis are looking constantly for the positive things in their life. Gratitude has gained a lot of attention from the field of positive psychology. There has been research to show that it benefits us in many ways from physical well-being to boosting happiness.
