Fishing for Affirmations – Item 505
Fishing for affirmations resource pack. This is a set of bright and colourful fish with affirmations written on. You can laminate the fish and add paper clips. Pop them into a paddling pool or a container. Use chop sticks with a small piece of string and add a magnet to the end. The pupil can fish for affirmations. What fish did they catch? What does that affirmation mean? Do they believe that affirmation about them? If not how can they make it come true?
The word affirm means to ‘state something that is true’. Affirmations have simple but positive messages that help to develop a child’s sense of self.
