Garden of Joy Visualisation
Our Garden of Joy Visualisation is a simple, guided activity for children aged 5 to 11, designed to help them explore happiness and gratitude through their imagination. By creating their own Garden of Joy, children reflect on positive memories, practice mindfulness, and discover how to share their inner joy with others.
This resource includes an additional worksheet where children can draw their own Garden of Joy, bringing their visualisation to life. It’s a creative way to reinforce positive thinking and provides a personal keepsake they can revisit whenever they need a boost of happiness.
Whilst perfect for starting the new year, this visualisation can be enjoyed at any time to encourage calm, emotional resilience, and a focus on the good in life. Ideal for classrooms, wellbeing clubs, or even quiet moments at home, it’s a versatile resource to brighten a child’s day and nurture their mental wellbeing.
Throughout January we are focusing our resources on our Wellbeing Calendar. January’s theme is Finding Joy. You can of course use this resource throughout the year.
