Thoughts, Feelings and Actions Resources – Item 112

Add to wishlist

This resource will help children to understand how their thoughts affect their feelings and how those feelings affect their actions or behaviour. That behaviour then reinforces their initial thoughts. When children think negative or bad things it makes them feel bad. These feelings can cause them to misbehave in some way. Teaching children how to change the negative or bad thoughts can help them to feel better. This does talk practice but with one to one support they will improve in time.

Included in the pack is:

  • A 24  page workbook which could be printed onto A4 or A3 depending on how much space the child requires for drawing or writing.
  • Thoughts, Feelings and Actions Flashcards purposely created in black and white to save ink costs but could easily be printed onto coloured card as I have done in the photographs.
  • Thoughts, Feelings and Actions Poster for display, print onto A3 or A4.
  • Thoughts, Feelings and Actions takeaway cards – these are a visual reminder to children to remember to change their negative or bad thoughts to good thoughts.

"Thanks for all the work you do on the website, as I honestly don’t think I would be the Elsa I am today without your resources. I bought the starter pack when I started Elsa and it gave me a good start. I’m always on your site as I love the shared ideas too. Our school is on a tight budget - as are many - so I love your Freebie Friday as I use these resources most days and it helps so many vulnerable children on a daily basis. I don’t think I’d be the Elsa I am today without it. Thanks so much Debbie for the time and effort you take to make it all happen."
