Fairness and taking turns intervention – Item 403
This is 6 session intervention to help pupils play fair and take turns. All paper resources are included in the pack. Our interventions follow a similar structure to include other areas of emotional literacy as well as social skills. There is an introduction of rules, emotional register, warm up, Learning objective, relaxation and then a review of the session. All the resources for each lesson are listed at the bottom of that session’s planning.
Learning objectives are:
- I know when something isn’t fair
- I understand what it means to take turns and when we must take turns
- I know some fair ways of choosing who goes first in a game or activity
- I can tell you how I feel when I have to wait for my turn
- I know some strategies to use whilst waiting for my turn
- I can use all my skills to play fairly
