Confidence boosters and knockers
Confidence Boosters & Knockers – Child-Friendly Reflection Resource
Help children understand what builds their confidence and what knocks it down with this engaging two page printable activity. This activity is inspired from our free ‘Building Confidence’ pupil leaflet so you might want to download that too.
This resource introduces the concept of confidence in a simple, relatable way, showing examples of everyday boosters (kind words, trying new things, support from friends) and knockers (unkind comments, being left out, too much pressure). Children are encouraged to reflect on their own experiences and identify both positive and negative influences in their lives.
Includes:
- Clear, child-friendly lists of boosters and knockers.
- An interactive activity space for children to draw or write their own examples.
- Guidance for adults to facilitate supportive, solution-focused discussions.
Perfect for PSHE lessons, ELSA sessions, circle time, or home use, this activity helps children:
- Build self-awareness.
- Recognise external influences on their confidence.
- Develop strategies to protect and grow their self-belief.
Suitable for KS1 and KS2.
