Back to School Fortune Teller
Help pupils approach the new school year with a positive mindset using this fun and interactive Back to School Fortune Teller.
This traditional folding activity combines play with meaningful opportunities to explore returning to school. As pupils choose, spell, count and reveal their fortunes, they are given positive suggestions and messages linked to school life, friendships, learning, confidence and wellbeing.
The positive predictions encourage pupils to think about the good things that may happen during the school day and help them recognise that returning to school can bring opportunities to learn, reconnect with friends, try new things and experience moments they can feel proud of. It can also provide a gentle starting point for conversations about any worries or uncertainties they may have about the new term.
The activity supports positive thinking, emotional literacy, confidence and self-awareness, while encouraging pupils to reflect on what helps them feel ready, comfortable and supported at school.
