Please find updates to the website over the past week.
The 1st of December is approaching fast and to ensure you have some resources with a Christmas/Winter and ELSA theme we have created our Christmas Elves. Each one is responsible for an area of wellbeing. The first six are free to download in this newsletter and the next six will be in our newsletter next Thursday.
We have also added a black lanyard with 3 breakaway points. Lots of you have asked for this. Black being a neutral colour and the added safety of 3 breakaway points. You can find that below. We think it looks really good.
By keeping up with the newsletter, you’ll stay up to date with our latest resources, refreshed favourites, and some of our most popular tools to support your work.
Just a quick note: if a newsletter isn’t opened for 3 months, our system will automatically remove your email address, as we’ll assume you’re no longer interested.
And of course, if you’d rather not receive updates, you can unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of this email. We’d love you to stay with us, but completely understand if you choose otherwise.

Tip of the Week for ELSAS
ELSA Tip: Supporting Winter Wellbeing
Winter can be a tricky time emotionally for many children. Darker mornings, colder weather, indoor playtimes and higher levels of tiredness can all impact mood, regulation and resilience. This is often the point in the year where anxieties rise, energy dips and children find it harder to stay settled and motivated. Winter wellbeing isn’t about “fixing” this but about gently supporting children to feel safe, calm and emotionally held through a naturally more demanding season.
This is exactly why we have created the Winter Wellbeing Elves. They offer a soft, child-friendly way to bring daily emotional support into your setting without it feeling heavy or overwhelming. A small, predictable focus each day helps children build emotional awareness gradually and gives them language for how winter might feel in their bodies and minds. Although they come in order 1 to 12, you can dip in and choose which one would be appropriate for a specific child so they can become part of your ELSA sessions.
Alongside the elves, ELSAs can continue to support winter wellbeing through small, consistent practices such as cosy check-ins, short grounding moments, gentle movement breaks, sensory regulation activities, calm transitions and opportunities for children to talk about how winter feels for them. Simple things like mindful breathing, nature noticing through the window, body warming activities and reflective drawing can have a powerful impact at this time of year.
Winter wellbeing isn’t about doing more but about doing little things often. The elves simply help bring those little moments to life in a way that feels engaging, comforting and emotionally safe for children.
