Independent home activities - Elsa Support for emotional learning

Independent home activities

Independent home activities: I thought I would put together a pack of the ELSA Resources that can be done at home should your school shut due to Coronavirus. We obviously have a lot of free resources too that could be used but these are bigger packs and good value especially if you want to make packs up for many children. I have included more positive things to raise self esteem and increase wellbeing and happiness.

Most or all these packs can be done independently by children. All you need to do is click the following links to take you to the resource.

Affirmation Worksheets

This affirmations activity pack has 8 affirmation statements with 6 activities for each one. 48 sheets all together. Lots of useful activities to do independently to help raise self esteem in your absence.

Reflective journal

This Reflective journal can help pupils to reflect on their  day, week, month, or year. This resource can be made into a journal for pupils to reflect on their days, weeks, months or year.

Self esteem booklet

Lots of children suffer from low self-esteem and this workbook has 25 activities to help them grow their self-esteem.

Comic Strips for telling their stories

This is a huge pack of comic strips and lots of prompt cards. You could give them some cards and some comic strips and ask them to do one each day.

Mindfultime Colouring sheets

Mindfulness is a brilliant way to relax and unwind. Children LOVE drawing generally. The Mindful Time colouring sheets resource is a bit different to the normal colouring sheets. The pupil is asked to try and copy a simple object and then draw that object over and over again to make a scene.

Mindfulness Challenge cards

These cards can be sent home for mindfulness practice. Probably best suited to KS2 upwards.

Express yourself Art doodling

Express yourself Art Doodling is a series of prompts for drawing. Children get so much from drawing. It is a way of self expression and self exploration. Children relax when drawing and are much more open to talking about their feelings.

Mindful Moments Positives Journal

This is a journal to promote positive wellbeing suitable for KS2 upwards

Mindful Moments Positives Journal KS1

This is a journal to promote positive wellbeing suitable for KS1

Mindful Mandalas

Good Mental Health workbook
