Social skills posters – item 27

Social skills posters – These posters can be displayed in your classroom and perhaps all the children can work on a particular skill for that week or that day. They can also be used for working with individuals or small groups. Teaching basic social skills is very important. I know personally as an adult I get really frustrated with people who do not say please or thank you, who interrupt conversations and so on…

Some of the subjects covered in this 22 poster pack (which includes the word document if you want to change anything) are:

  • apologising
  • asking for help
  • being a good sport
  • dealing with mistakes
  • disagreeing with someone
  • ending a conversation
  • introducing yourself
  • waiting patiently
  • sharing
  • taking turns
  • offering to help someone

The posters are simple and clear and could be printed on A3 paper if necessary.
