My mood tree – item 063
Judging a child’s state of mind can be really important when getting the right help for the child or for knowing what to work on with the child. Is this something the ELSA can deal with or does the child need referring for expert help? Often a child struggles to tell you how they feel and this idea is brilliant for children to be able to tell you their mood or emotion. Leaves are assigned colours according to the mood of the child. A tree to fill in daily over one week and a tree to fill in daily over one month. There are also coloured leaves and white blank leaves so children can make their own mood tree. Not every child enjoys colouring but they might like a bit of cutting and sticking.
Included in the pack:
- Monthly mood tree – colour one leaf a day over 4 weeks
- Weekly mood tree – colour one leaf a day over one week
- Build a mood tree – build your own mood tree by cutting and sticking leaves
- 10 different coloured leaves for cutting out
- Black and white leaves for cutting out then colouring.
There is a younger version of this for early years children or those that like a visual representation of an emotion. Please see the link below.
